Baseball Bases & Home Plates for Sale

To cap off a well-maintained field, high-quality bases, home plates, and pitching rubbers are essential. We offer a range of baseball bases for every level of play and price point. Whether you need bases for softball or baseball, artificial turf, or a real grass field, we got you covered.

Before we go over the different types of bases, keep in mind that for Little League fields to be compliant, they must be compliant with rule 1.06. We'll get to that in a bit...

Throw Down Bases

There’s a wide variety of baseball base designs on the market with different functionalities and benefits, but the main two are anchored or throw-down bases.

Throw-down bases are best for gym classes or recreational use and can be used indoors or outdoors. You can simply throw them down wherever you want and have a diamond ready to go. Our orange throw-down bases are a best seller that includes a throw-down pitching rubber and home plate. Customers love our throw-down bases due to their low price point and ease of use.

BreakAway Bases

But what if you need an anchored base while being compliant with Little League rule 1.06? This is where breakaway baseball bases come in. BreakAway bases are designed to break away from the base plate upon impact, maximizing player safety and minimizing potential injury. Breakaway bases are now the de facto system in the market for displacing energy from player to base – without creating a secondary hazard or danger to other ball players.

Breakaway bases have become so popular that they are now a requirement in Little League fields. Additionally, they are approved for game use by Little League, Babe Ruth, Cal Ripken, Pony, USA, and USSSA leagues.

Baseball Bases & Home Plates

Anchored Baseball and Softball Bases

For competitive baseball or softball fields, you’ll need anchored bases and plates that will fit to the ground anchor on the field. You’ve got a variety of options here with different features and benefits to keep players safe.

For simple and affordable anchored bases, customers and coaches love our Major League Bases. These come in sets of 3 or single bases, depending on what you need.

Other Base Styles

We also carry other styles of baseball bases. Another popular option are magnetic bases. Magnetic baseball bases work well, but over long periods of time, magnets break, and dirt gets in between the magnets, making them less effective.

We also carry bases with ground stakes. These are a great option for quick setups but are not recommended for long-term use.

Home Plates

Last but not least are baseball home plates. Perhaps the most important base on a baseball field, the home plate, is where runs are scored, games are won, strikeouts go down, and losses occur. A home plate for a baseball field needs to be durable and stand up to the rigors of cleats, long seasons, and players sliding home.

The degree to which a field is used will determine what quality of home plate you will need. You might be able to get away with a throw down home plate if you're playing a pick-up game with friends. But for a real baseball field? You'll need an anchored or buried home plate. Take a look at some of our curated home plate options above.
