Trusted in backyards, facilities, and by the best teams in the MLB

Trusted by 1,000s of Parents, Coaches, & Facilities

The Hack Attack gives you complete command of every pitch — so your hitters train against pitches ranging from fastballs from 50 to 95 mph and sharp breaking balls before they ever see them in a game. Every pitch lands where you set it, meaning zero wasted swings and every minute of practice counts.

One machine runs your entire practice: batting practice, then flip the head for fly balls, grounders, and catcher work — more reps for every player, no fungo bats and no tired arms.

Built in the USA to outlast a decade of seasons, backed by a 5-year warranty.

Quick answers

What every buyer
asks first

The six questions we hear on almost every call, answered before you have to ask.

3 day lead time When will it ship? Your machine leaves our warehouse within about 3 business days of your order.
5 pitches What can it throw? Fastball, curve, slider, splitter and knuckleball, righty or lefty. No tilting the head.
Fury or VeloMax Which balls should I use? Fury balls: genuine leather, Kevlar inside and flat seams made for machine wheels. VeloMax foam for safe indoor reps. Skip synthetic leather.
95 MPH How fast does it throw? Fastballs from 50 to 95 mph, plus breaking balls from both arm sides. Real velocity for high school, college and pro hitters.
165 LB Can I move it? It rolls on built-in wheels and the legs come off. Two people load it into a truck or SUV.
110 V What does it plug into? Any household outlet. At the field, a 1,000–2,000 watt inverter generator.
Take control

Take control over every pitch with your Hack Attack

Three independently controlled wheels mean you decide exactly what your hitters see: fastballs up to 95 mph, plus curveballs, sliders, split-fingers and knuckleballs from both arm sides. Match the dials to the pitch chart and the Hack Attack throws that pitch to the same spot, every time. The elevation crank and inside/outside adjustment let you work the corners and climb the ladder without moving the machine. It's built on a solid steel frame in the USA, which is why high school, college and pro programs keep coming back to it.

One machine.
Every drill.

Hitting, fielding and catching work from the same machine, with no tools between drills.

The Hack Attack's left, right and bottom wheel speed dials
01

Dial any pitch

Three speed dials, one per wheel. Match them to the chart and it throws that pitch, from either side.

A hand turning the Hack Attack's elevation crank
02

Work every corner

One turn of the crank climbs or drops the pitch. The inside/outside adjustment works the edges.

03

Great for fielding

Loosen the head with the crank wheel and it swings freely up, down, left and right. Point it up for pop flies and 380 ft fly balls, or down for grounders.

Portable

Portable on built-in wheels

Pull two legs, tip it back onto its built-in wheels, and the third leg becomes your handle. It's heavy on purpose: that weight is what keeps pitch 50 where pitch 1 went.

FAQ

Still have questions?

Talk to someone who knows these machines.

(888) 466-0009 Mon–Fri, 7am–4pm PST
Will leather balls wear out the wheels?

Not with the right balls. Fury pitching machine balls are genuine leather with Kevlar inside and flat seams, made to run through machine wheels and keep their shape. VeloMax foam balls are the pick for indoor cages and younger hitters. Skip synthetic-leather balls; they gum up the wheels.

Can my hitter time a machine with no arm?

Yes. The open three-wheel head shows the ball the whole way in, from the feeder's hand to the wheels. Add a Perfect Timing chute for even more time to load.

Hack Attack or Jr. Hack Attack?

Same pitches, same three-wheel design. The Jr. Hack Attack throws fastballs up to 70 mph, weighs 87 lb and fits in a sedan or SUV. The Hack Attack throws fastballs up to 95 mph, weighs 165 lb and needs an SUV or truck. 13U and under: Jr. High school and up: Hack Attack.

Does it throw softballs?

Yes. Choose the For Softball build at the top of the page and it comes set up for fastpitch.

Can it throw over an L-screen?

The standard release point is 53 inches. Choose the Extended Legs build to feed from behind a standard L-screen, or add extended legs later.

Can I run it at the field?

Yes. It runs on any standard 110V outlet (220V models are available). At the field, use a 1,000–2,000 watt inverter generator. Regular construction generators make pitches erratic.

Can it feed itself so one person can hit alone?

Yes. Add the Solo Feeder, which holds 15 balls and feeds them on its own.

Are the pitch chart settings right for younger hitters?

The chart is written for older players, so start a few numbers below it and work up. Dial changes take effect within seconds, and the machine recovers in 3–5 seconds between pitches.

What if something breaks?

Wheels, motors and controllers are covered by the Sports Attack manufacturer's warranty, and parts swap in the field with common tools. Call us at (888) 466-0009 and we'll sort it out.

Is there a programmable version?

Yes. The I-Hack Attack adds a touchscreen with saved pitches and random sequences. If you're happy setting three dials, the Hack Attack throws the same pitches for less.
