Leather Baseball Spinners from Anytime Baseball Supply

The RPM Spin Trainer helps young pitchers learn the fundamentals — how to throw the ball correctly, how to spin it efficiently, how to develop new pitches, and develop a clean release. Each spin trainer ball gives instant visual feedback on every throw: clean rotation means the release is right, wobble means something's off. The more reps your kid gets, the cleaner their mechanics get — which means better pitches, more strikes, and more Ks.

Why It Works

Most young pitchers have no idea what their pitch is actually doing — if the ball is spinning correctly, if their fingers are behind it, or if the rotation matches the pitch they're trying to throw. The ball comes off the hand in a flash, and unless you've got a high-speed camera, all you see is the result — strike or ball, in or out of the zone. Whatever went right or wrong is impossible to tell.

The RPM Spin Trainer changes that. When the release is off — fingers slipped, wrist angle wrong, thumb pressure off — you see it as wobble in the air. When the release is clean, the ball rotates smooth and tight. Your pitcher gets feedback on every throw, and his hand starts to learn what right feels like on its own.

This is how the best pitching programs in the country train — instant feedback, lots of reps, small adjustments. RPM brings the same approach to the backyard.

Who This Is For

  • Youth and travel ball pitchers (ages 8+) learning proper mechanics and building their first real pitch arsenal
  • Parents who want a way to actually help their kid practice at home — no coaching certification required
  • Pitching coaches and academies that need a simple, no-tech tool to show athletes what their release is doing
  • High school and college pitchers refining fastball spin, sharpening breaking balls, or adding a slider
  • Anyone training without access to a Rapsodo or TrackMan

Which Ball Should I Buy For My Kid?

4-Seam

The 4-seam is the foundation of any pitcher's arsenal. It's the most first pitch to learn and the most commonly used pitch. The flat sides give instant wobble feedback so your kid can see whether his fingers are behind the ball on every fastball and if their release point is consistent. Clean rotation = clean release. Wobble = something's off in the grip, wrist, or thumb pressure. The 4-seam can also be used for throwing curveballs.

Regulation Ball with 2 Stripes (4-seam orientation)

Use this ball in combination with the 4-seam cutoff ball. While the 4-seam cutoff ball is great for working on spin efficiency, we recommend using this one to get similar feedback while getting the feel of a real regulation sized ball. This ball can also be used for curveballs.

2-Seam

The 2-seam is a great secondary or tertiary pitch for players to learn. The flat sides line up with the train tracks of the seams so he can see the spin axis on sinkers and two-seamers — which is how you start adding real sink and run to a fastball instead of just changing the grip and hoping. This ball also works great with circle changeups which is the 2nd most important pitch for youth players to learn.

Changeup/2-Seam Ball

This is a great ball to use in combination with the 2-seam cut off ball. You get good visual feedback while still getting the feel of a real baseball. For 2-seam fastballs, you want the black circle to point up above your right shoulder if you're right handed, and up and above your left shoulder if you're left handed. This ball can be used for 2-seams, sinkers, and changeups.
